Life Happens

Life Happens by Memory Clips is a very sweet and versatile kit.  I have two pages to share that I made with this collection.  I used the first one for the font challenge at The Digichick.  The challenge was to use a typewriter font on our page.  Mine was Traveling Typewriter, and my template was from Die Cut Templates Vol. 3 by Meagan's Creations. 

On this first page I just used the Life Happens Mini Kit and Basic Papers pack.  

My second page uses Singleton 05 It Takes Two template by La Belle Vie Designs, and the whole Life Happens collection, including the paint splatters.  

Mt. Washington Colorblocking

These gorgeous colors are perfect for these photos of Mount Washington!

They are in the new Shabby Autumn collection from Alexis Design Studio.  The journal cards are so pretty I had to fit one in this layout.  The whole bundle also includes clipping masks not available separately.

The template for this page is from the colorblocking new set by Akizo Designs, Crazy Squares #01.

Let It Be

The latest kit by Ilonka's Scrapbook Designs has a soft, rustic elegance, and was perfect with this photo of Abigail.

The kit is Let it Be, and is part of a whole lovely collection, available from DigiScrapbooking Boutique, Scrap from France, CoolDigitalScrap, and GoDigitalScrapbooking.  

Quilt templates!

LJS Digital Designs has started a new template series based on quilt patterns!  I've often wished someone would do something like that, and I love the templates.  Here is my first page with her first pack, One Scrappy Chick set 1.

The art is from the lovely new kit by Creative Victorian, Ooh Shiny.  I used coordinating transfers to make a less distracted place for the title, and her fillers had the pretty bead scatter behind the title.  

September Template Challenge - free template

Here is my page for the Twisted Template challenge at The Digichick this month, with one of my extraordinary sisters.

I used And They Lived... kit by Kawouette.  I love that crocheted butterfly and vellum pocket, among other things!

Just Sail Away and New Templates

I have two pages to show you today that I think came out well.  They are both made with Just Sail Away, a gorgeous kit by LDrag Designs.

The first one is of Bass Harbor Head Lighthouse in Maine:

recently released at The Digichick.  I've really been enjoying blocked templates like these lately!  And they are so easy to rotate and change the look a little.

The second page shows some photos from a visit to Odiorne Point in New Hampshire.

On this one, I used a pretty template from the Sophisticated set just released by Ilonka's Scrapbook Designs.

From This Day

Isn't this a beautiful layout?!  It is one of my favorite photos from our wedding.

I used one of the gorgeous new Orchard templates by Southern Serenity.  I love all those layers!  Remember When by Kimeric Kreations is the artwork.  The kit is beautiful, and I love adding something extra with her coordinating graffiti.

May 2012 pages 9 & 10

I was working on our family album for 2012, and finished these two pages from May.

I used Blue Jeans Kinda Girl by Kimeric Kreations.  I love the muted tones on these pages!

Design by Ziska challenge

I created this page for one of the challenges at The Digichick this month.

Autumn Beauty

Gypsy Couture has just released a lovely new kit called Autumn Echo, which I used on a couple of pages.  The first showcases the covered bridge at Southford Falls.

I used Mask Effects Vol. 2 templates by Meagan's Creations, and love the result!

The other page is with an amazing template by Kimeric Kreations, from Paper Lovers 6.  

This template will be retired at the end of the month, so if you too love it, you should get it while you can!  I also used the brand new Coffee Shop Overlays by Charm Box Studios on the photos on this page.  I love these grungy overlays, and will use them over and over.

Romans 6:23

I just finished Romans 6:23 for the children's books!

I used this gorgeous kit recently released by LDrag Designs, called A Special Day.  I love it, don't you?

Romans 3:23

I've been working on Scripture memory books for the children.  The cards go into one of those photo brag books that hold 24 photos.  The children love it each time I finish and print a new one, and the immediately memorize it!  Here is the latest one:

I had fallen in love with this sweet kit by Kimeric Kreations, called A Love Like This, and thought it was perfect for the feel I wanted for this verse card.

If you also think it's beautiful and have to have it, you'd better hurry!  This kit is being discontinued, and is half price, only $3.  

Truly Thankful by LDrag Designs

LDrag Designs just released a beautiful kit at The Digichick, called Truly Thankful.  I scrapped a page with photos of some blessings for which I am truly thankful.

This page was created using a template from the Lots A Layers, Vol 1 collection by Little Bit Shoppe.  I love all those layers!

PrelestnayaP Designs - Now at The Digichick

There is a new designer at The Digichick!  For a while I have enjoyed the work of Irina of PrelestnayaP Designs, and now her designs are available at The Digichick!  Along with her kits, she creates some lovely templates in several styles, from blocked/pocket style to photo mask pages.  I used her Photomasks templates Vol. 10 for this layout:

The kit I used is Hummingbird Hollow by Kimeric Kreations.  I love the way soft and bright are combined in this sweet collection.

If Only - New Collection from Kimeric Kreations

Isn't this lovely?  Abigail (actually Stephen, too) loves to go across the street and give the horses attention.  Sometimes they offer carrots or apples, and sometimes they pick the grass on the other side of the fence.  Apparently the horses think the grass on the other side is greener!

For this page I used a new kit from Kimeric Kreations called If Only.  I love that Kim also makes graffiti to coordinate with her kits.  It adds a little grunge, but isn't too loud.  The whole collection is 30% off until Sunday evening (September 7th) at The Digichick.
Amber Morrison of Southern Serenity Designs makes some lovely templates, and I used one from her Fearless collection for this page.
