Provencal Flair

I had such fun with this pattern. I love the rooster stamp, and the French Country look, so this was a fun card to make. I liked this so much, I decided to try several, with different stamps and colors.

For this card, I stamped the rooster from the Provencal set in Basic Black ink on More Mustard card stock. I matted it with Basic Black card stock, extending 7/8" below the rooster. Behind that is Real Red card stock.

I used another piece of paper to make little dots to mark the place for the eyelets, to make sure they were in a straight line. The eyelets are More Mustard alternate with Real Red.

The card base is More Mustard, with a leaf from Simple Sketches stamped all over in Versamark. "Just Because" is from Simple Sayings II, and stamped in Basic Black ink.

For the leaf card, the card base is Really Rust card stock, with the Fall Frolics wheel in Really Rust ink for the background. The leaves are stamped on More Mustard card stock with the Pumpkin Patch spectrum pad. That was matted with Close to Cocoa and then Creamy Caramel card stock. The eyelets are: Really Rust, More Mustard, Creamy Caramel, More Mustard, Really Rust.

The yellow and pink card has a So Saffron base, with a background stamp from Wee Watercolors in Versamark all over. The flower is from Stippled Stencils, and is stamped on Pretty in Pink card stock with Rose Red ink. I used a sponge to scrape the edges of it with Rose Red ink, giving it a work look. It is matted on Regal Rose, then Pretty in Pink card stock, with yellow flower eyelets. The greeting from Sincere Salutations is in Rose Red ink.

The green card's base is Mellow Moss. The background is the fleur-de-lis from the Timeworn Trim set, stamped with Versamark. The apple stamp (from the same set) is stamped in Bravo Burgundy ink on Apricot Appeal card stock. It is matted with Bravo Burgundy, then Apricot Appeal. The eyelets are metallic, and the greeting (from Sincere Salutations) is in Bravo Burgundy ink.

The Purple card base is Elegant Eggplant, and the background is Versamarked from Wee Watercolors. The rest of the ink is Basic Black. The grape vine stamp is from Stippled Stencils, and the greeting is from All Year Cheer I. The motif is stamped on Perfect Plum card stock, with Basic Black and Always Artichoke mats, and metallic eyelets.
